Time Off Reason Codes

Reason Codes may be used when entering detail time off information for an employee to indicate the reason for an absence. Each time off transaction can have an associated reason code.

 

Reason Codes can be as general or as specific as the situation requires. If there are certain transactions that require tracking, then a special code may be created and used for that purpose only. For example, to keep track of whether an employee was gone because of their own illness or whether their child was ill, a separate code could be established for each option.

SHARE Time Off Reason Code for Leave Donations

When processing leave donations, it is important to use a special reason code of SHARE to associate with the transaction. Using this special code will ensure that Worker' Compensation is not calculated for donated leave.
