Chart of Accounts

Release:

Version 05.13.10.00.11, February 12, 2014 - addendum release

Issue #:

258960

Change:

If the system setup fails to produce a complete and valid Crosswalk Account string, the system should not create one for the targeted fiscal year.

Reason:

When adding a new Chart of Account code, the system creates a Crosswalk Account with all zero dimensions when there are no Crosswalk Account description records for a given fiscal year.

Change:

Program 63 was opened as a valid Program Code for fiscal year 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 forward.  All valid combinations for Program 63 were identified and implemented according to OSPI guidelines.

Reason:

Program 63, Promoting Academic Success, for Fiscal Year 2005-2006 (FY '05-'06) and beyond was required because funding for this program was recently enacted by the legislature and the requirements for tracking established by OSPI.

Program 63 - Promoting Academic Success is now available for General Fund use for the current fiscal year and beyond, with its valid Activity/Object combinations.

Version 02.05.06.2, November 5, 2005

Remedy Ticket:

Change:

A change was made to the Account Add screen to allow the client to enter an account level description. A change was made to the Account Edit screen to allow the client to change the account level description. The Chart of Accounts' Setup tab and the Account Number Selection screen  were modified to show the account level description. The Account level description was added to the list of available fields to be chosen when creating a new report in Account Management\Reports.

This change is documented fully in PCS F75.

Reason:

The "original" account description is derived for dimensions descriptions. This compilation can be misleading or less than helpful in determining the purpose of the account code. The Account level description will aid the client in determining how this account is used.

Release:

Version 02.05.06.2, November 5, 2005

Remedy Ticket:

Change:

The encumbrance summary code and expense\revenue summary code fields were included on the Account Add screen. Changes to the Account Add and Account Edit force the client to choose summary accounts instead of having the system assign a default.   This feature allows for a more comprehensive account creation process. Default summary codes do not automatically populate the encumbrance summary account code and the expense\revenue summary account code fields. This also allows editing of the summary accounts within Chart of Accounts.

This change is documented fully in PCS F72.

Reason:

Default summary accounts were being associated with new accounts.   This action created unintended summary associations.
