Change:

Updated the description of HR Message number 74.  The message now reads "Worksheet Imported into another Payroll Selection, import into current selection if needed."

Reason:

The previous message was confusing in some cases.

Change:

HR Message 53 is now district updatable.  

Reason:

Districts may choose to turn off the message ”Retirement History ER\EE Amt possibly adjusted by DRS” due to the number of messages generated by retroactive retirement rate changes.

Implementation Note:

To turn off Message 53, edit the message and uncheck the Display checkbox.

Payroll Retirement Calculation

Change:

Retirement deductions and benefits attached to pay records.  Removed deductions and benefits of group ’retirement’ that were not assigned to a system\plan from pay records.

Reason:

To prevent the creation of error messages.  There were old deductions and benefits that were processed before the error message disallowed them.  We found some districts still had them attached to pay records and removing the stop dates allowed them to process, creating payroll errors.  These pay codes will have the old ded bens removed.  The deductions and benefits will be shown in the Audit History.

Feature:

Payroll Retirement Calculation

Change:

Deduction and Benefit Control records.   All deduction and benefits control records that are of the group ’retirement’ had the start and stop dates set to blank.  

Reason:

Deduction and benefit start\stop dates no longer control the starting and stopping of retirement.  The starting and stopping is now controlled by the Eligibility Start and Stop dates within the Membership Profile record.

The WA001Transactions table was modified.

Reason:

  1. Pay code and Pay rec ID fields were updated to facilitate the reconnecting of retirement transactions automatically.

  2. Retirement adjustment transactions (previously processed) associated with contracts or retroactive pay items were marked to be ’Included in Balancing’.

Several messages were added, updated, or removed because of the new payroll retirement calculation.

Follow the above path to produce a report of all messages if desired.
