Release:

Version 04.10.06.00.00, August 14, 2010

Feature:

WESPaC Employee Management – CEDARS EMS Plan Indicator

Issue #:

Skyward Project ID # 1214100 PCS HR 196

Change:

Staff Type is required for Washington state CEDARS reporting throughout the year.  Previously it was extracted from the S-275 Salary Negotiation (SN) plan, but that plan is not maintained during the school year like the Employee Management (EMS) plans are.  Since CEDARS needs updated, current information, it is being changed to extract the Staff Duty Code (aka Staff Type) from the specified EMS plans, rather than from a SN Plan.

The "Export CEDARS data from this plan" checkbox has been removed from the Salary Negotiations Main Screen, and a new check box, "Export CEDARS data from this plan" has been added to the Employee Management Main Screen.

Note:  Previously only one SN plan could have the CEDARS check-box checked, but now multiple EMS plans can have the CEDARS check-box checked.

Reason:

State reporting requirement.

Release:

Version 03.07.02.02.01, September 8, 2007

Remedy Ticket:

89145

Change:

A checkbox in the lower left hand corner of the Assignment screen was modified to "Use FTE instead of Calc FTE to calculate the pay amount".  When checked, the pay calculation will be based on FTE.

Reason:

WESPaC provides functionality to ignore the FTE or the Calc FTE in calculating the pay or contract amount.  This is fine for full time employees.  For assignments that are associated with a salary matrix and are not full time, the clients were forced to change the employee to a salary amount calculation method.  The districts were not able to take advantage of salary placement trackers and mass processing features of the placement trackers.

Implementation Note:

Clients do not need to do anything for this implementation.

There are two changes to the business processes:

(1) When the new checkbox "Use FTE instead of Calc FTE to calculate pay amounts" is checked, clients now have the ability to change the FTE, so that they can take full advantage of salary placement trackers, salary matrix, and mass processing features for placement trackers on assignments with partial FTE.

(2) Clients will be able to maintain add-on assignments, specifically non-time driven assignments, on the main assignment maintenance screen and not have to drill down to the add-on maintenance screen.

Release:

Version 03.07.02.01.04,  August 17, 2007, Non-Standard Release

Remedy Ticket:

118019

Change:

This non-standard release (NSR) will correct the defect in WESPaC Human Resources Salary Negotiations (SN) and Employee Management Systems (EMS) Position and Assignment update processes that was described in the May 8, 2007 Alert Message.

Reason:

Previously, changes made to Position Control Payroll Information under Position Maintenance would also be applied to associated Assignment records even when the user responded "No" to the question "Assignments exist with pay and\or frequency codes which are different from the position. Would you like to change all the pay and frequency codes on these assignments to reflect the position?"

After the NSR on Friday morning, a new prompt will appear after making Position Control Payroll Information changes in SN or EMS.  Responding "No" to the question "Do you want to have the assignment records that are tied to this position control record updated with these changes as well?" will correctly leave the associated Assignment records unchanged
