Release:

Version 04.11.10.00.04, November 5, 2011

Feature:

WESPaC Manual Check and Void Check Processes

Issue #:

209840, 203689, 210009

Change:

The Manual and Void Check processes were modified to use the deduction and benefit amounts entered for workers’ compensation.  All deductions and benefits of percent and calculate types, such as taxes, will not be calculated during these two check processes.  Five warning messages were added to provide additional information regarding the Washington state deductions and benefits (workers’ compensation, retirement, and unemployment).

  1. Warning 69 - WC Ded\Ben exists and there are no WC Hours, or there are WC Hours and no WC Ded\Ben.  Condition:  either workers’ compensation hours or ded\ben exists without the other.  Normally, both hours and ded\ben are expected whenever one or the other exists.

  2. Warning 70 - WC Hours & Amounts are included in WC reporting & contract balancing.  Condition:  either workers’ compensation hours and\or ded\ben exist.  This warning indicates that any hours or amounts entered will be on the Workers’ Compensation Report and included in contract balancing.

  3. Warning 71 - Retirement Amounts will not be included in the DRS Transmittal.  Condition:   either retirement hours or ded\ben exists.  This warning indicates that no Washington retirement transaction records will be created, and these transactions won’t be included on any DRS transmittal.

  4. Warning 72 - UC Gross but no UC Ded\Ben.  Condition:   The manual check does not have an unemployment ded\ben.  This warning indicates that the unemployment gross pay amount will include the pay item, even though it doesn’t have an unemployment ded\ben.

  5. Warning 73 - WC Deduction does not exist on Payroll Transaction.  Condition:  a pay item does not have a workers’ compensation ded\ben on it, but the pay code has a Workers’ Comp Code.

Reason:

Defect correction.

Implementation Notes:

Washington users should not enter retirement hours, deductions or benefits on manual or void checks, because these processes do not create Washington retirement transaction records.  Instead, the WESPaC retirement adjustment screen (HR\PR\WS\RT) should be used to adjust retirement.
