Change:

Addresses for guardians who are also employees cannot be changed through District to District Student Transfer (D2D).

Release:

Version 04.10.01.01.01, June 5, 2010

Feature:

District to District Student Transfer

Change:

  1. Removed address and primary phone from the Demographics tab. Student address and primary phone will now be imported from the Family tab.

  2. Added an EEL (Express Entry Lookup) to the Street Name and Zip Code fields on the Family tab.  If the street name or zip code does not already exist in the receiving district database, the white fields will be blank so the user must add the new street name or zip code.

  3. Import proper case for address and name data based on the case settings (upper, lower, or as entered) in District Configuration.

Reason:

  1. A student could potentially have had an incorrect address and phone number imported or a mismatch between student and family data.

  2. Without the EEL, a street name or zip code could be added directly to the database without validating if the code already existed.

  3. Previously, address and name data was imported exactly as it was sent from the sending district, ignoring the receiving district’s configuration settings.

Release:

Version 04.10.01.01.00, May 8, 2010

Feature:

District to District Student Transfer

Change:

  1. Corrected an issue with the student record upload process.  This also corrects a problem where it was taking several minutes to hours to load student data.

  2. There will now be a record created in the History Transaction Log file when a student load to the Receive Student tab is in process.  The student record will not be displayed in the Receive Student browse screen until the load has completed.

Reason:

  1. In some cases, if there was an interruption in the process, student records were not completely loaded.

  2. To identify the current status of a student record that is being loaded and to aid in troubleshooting a record that has not yet been received.

Release:

Version 04.10.01.00.00, April 10, 2010

Feature:

District to District Transfer

Change:

Removed the option to change a current year course to historical.  Now all courses, historical or current, will be imported as historical.

Reason:

If a course is marked current, the credits cannot be changed.  When transfer records are added for a student they should be made historical so that they do not appear on a schedule or a report card as they are not being taken at the current entity.
