The EMS/Payroll Comparison report compares assignments in Employee Management with the corresponding Payroll contracts. The report shows differences that exist in any of the following areas: Work Start/Stop Dates, Pay Start/Stop Dates, Pay/Override Frequencies, and the value of an employee’s contract. This report is useful in finding when updates were made in Employee Management but never imported to Payroll.
Assignments appear on the report if a difference in one of the areas exists. If an assignment does not appear on the report, then the assignments data in EMS matches the data found in the Payroll contracts.
The report can be sorted either by Employee Name and then Pay Code or by the reverse. Printing account codes is an additional option that may be selected. This option displays the account code associated with each EMS assignment. Finally, a value can be set for the minimum amount the EMS assignments and Payroll contracts must differ in order to appear on the report. This value defaults to $0.01, which will cause all differences that exist to appear on the report.
