Release:

Version 02.05.06.1, August 13, 2005

Feature:

Employee Access Requisition Entry and Requisition Approvals -- Taxes & Additional Charges

Remedy Ticket:

57881

Change:

  1. Taxes and additional charges have been fully implemented in Employee Access Requisition Entry and Requisition Approval.  Requisitions entered in Employee Access move into WESPaC with taxes and additional charges properly calculated and displayed.

  2. Requisition Approval can be performed in either  Employee Access or WESPaC, with amounts properly calculated and displayed, including taxes and additional charges. Changes to the requisition can be made by the approver, who can see the budgetary impact of all costs on a requisition.

Reason:

  1. Employee Access requisition entry and approval did not include functionality for taxes and additional charges needed by educational agencies in Washington State.  Requisitions entered in Employee Access had to be modified in WESPaC on the header and detail lines to properly calculate and display taxes.

  2. Employee Access Approvals did not show the proper calculations and amounts if taxes and\or additional charges were included, and only limited changes could be made to the requisition by the approver.

Menu:

  • Employee Access\Requisition Entry\Requisition History\Requisition Approval (Web approval of requisitions entered in Employee Access or WESPaC);

  • Financial Management\Purchasing\Approve  (WESPaC approval of requisitions entered in Employee Access or WESPaC)

Note:

In Requisition History, correct functioning of taxes and additional charges have not yet been verified in the Show Printable Version feature.

Implementation Note:

Several known issues are still being worked on:

  1. In Requisition History, the Copy to a New Requisition option does not calculate the total correctly if taxes or additional charges are included on the requisition.

  2. In Requisition Entry, if a detail line is deleted the totals are not recalculated. The user must manually change the account distributions. The resulting requisition will be out of balance between the header and the account distribution lines until it is approved. The PO, however, will be in balance.

  3. In Requisition Approval, on the Requisitions Awaiting your Approval screen, the Mass Approve option may product an error message.  If so, the Approve checkbox can be checked for each requisition.
