Version 03.07.10.01.04, August 16, 2008

Change:

• Addition of Ded\Ben Group selection parameter

• Addition of "New Group" column to exported spreadsheet

Reason:

• All selected Salary Negotiations plans in an Export Set must use the same Deduction\Benefit group

• "New Group" column required to permit Group field values in spreadsheet-generated Position Control Records

Implementation Notes:

Spreadsheets Exported before this (August SR 2008) release will still be valid for Import, as long as:

• All selected SN plans in the Export Set use the same Ded\Ben group

• The user manually adds a column called "New Group," as directed by the Import utility

This is the official release version of the Position-Assignment Migration Export utility.

Provides export of Assignment information to an external spreadsheet for definition of unique Position Control Records.

Reason:

Planned new functionality for Positions & Assignments Redesign Project.

Implementation Notes:

This utility is being released as a BETA.  It has been tested to a reasonable degree of confidence but further revision or modification may occur in future releases.

Notes:

The exported .CSV file contains all user-selected fields plus three columns:  New Position, New Assignment and Link.  New Position and New Assignment must be filled in on every line for the Import process.  Link will only be used when multiple lines should be combined into a single Position Control Record.  Further guidance on combining lines and the use of the Link field will be provided when the Import utility is released.
