WESPaC Retirement Activity Report and Retirement History Report selection screen

Issue #:

Change:

The Retirement Activity Report and the Retirement History Report selections screens were modified to use the new ’DoNotReport’ logical field in the WA001RetTransactions table and display asterisks appropriately when adjustments for contract pay codes are included in balancing.  Previously, the report and selections screen were still using the Misclogical field and the Adj column did not display an asterisk even if there were adjustments marked as ’Do Not Report to DRS’ included in the amount.

Feature:

Retirement Activity Report

Issue #:

239767, 239187

Change:

The Retirement Activity Report was modified to eliminate Progress errors indicating that the decimal number is too large.  This error was caused by certain contract\calendar\days conditions. When the Retirement Activity Report was run with the appserver on, the errors simply wrote to the appserver log. With the appserver off, they presented on the screen. The Retirement Activity Report that runs in the Check Register will be modified to include in the current column only transactions being processed in the current payroll calculation.  Previously, the current column also included transactions from previous payrolls that had not yet been transmitted to DRS.

Feature:

WESPaC Retirement Activity Report (Totals for Other Pay Items)

Issue #:

235665

Change:

The Retirement Activity Report was modified to display the correct totals in the Other Pay Items History column.  Previously, the stand-alone Retirement Activity Report was not displaying the correct total in the Other Pay Items History column when the Voids Transaction Type was selected and a pay item such as unpaid leave (LWOP) had been voided and reissued.

EXAMPLE:

An employee had unpaid leave (LWOP) in the October payroll for -15 hours in September. The October payroll was Quick Voided. A new October payroll was created. The stand-alone Retirement Activity Report incorrectly shows -30 hours of unpaid leave (LWOP) for September in the Other Pay Items History column. The Retirement Activity Report from the October payroll correctly shows the -15 hours for September in the Other Pay Items Current column for September.

Version 04.10.01.00.00, April 10, 2010

Feature:

Retirement Activity Report

Issue #:

N\A

Change:

  1. Adjustments for a contract pay code marked ’Include in RetirementBalancing’ are included with that contract’s data.

  2. The projected deductions and benefits were changed to be controlled by the Retirement Membership Profile’s Eligibility dates rather than the deduction and benefit start\stop dates.

Reason:

  1. Including the adjustments with the contracts makes it easier to identify which adjustments go with which contract.

  2. The report was changed as to how it obtains deductions and benefits to be consistent with the calculation program.

Release:

Version 04.09.06.02.01, December 5, 2009

Feature:

Retirement Activity Report

Issue #:

220339

Change:

The Retirement Activity Report was modified to exclude contract pay history if the current pay record ID (for a contract pay code) does not match the historical retirement transactions (historical retirement transactions from last year’s contract with the same pay code name).  Since the November 2009 standard release, the report would include contract pay history from prior fiscal years if the beginning and ending earning period report parameter included prior fiscal year months.  The report should not have included pay history for contracts that do not have a corresponding pay record.

Reason:

Defect correction.

Menu:

HR\PA\RE\RE\RA

Implementation Notes:

This correction to the report was not in place for the November 2009 payroll.  The Check Register process runs the Retirement Activity with earning period parameters of 01\1900 through 12\9999.  The Retirement Activity report included all contract pay transactions back to conversion unless the client ran the Retirement Purge process.  The report that currently resides in the district’s Saved Reports contains potentially voluminous data with old transactions and the Historical columns. Consequently, the historical contract data was overstated.

NOTE:  Districts should consider rerunning this report after the December 5th standard release.  The report will not have the Current column transactions since it is being run after the Update process.

Retirement Activity Report (’Other Pay’ items)

Issue #:

N\A

Change:

The Retirement Activity Report was modified to display the history for ’Other Pay’ items although the pay record may not exist in the employees Pay tab.  Prior to this change, if the pay record didn’t exist in the employee’s Pay tab, then the retirement history would not appear on the report.

Approved enhancement.

Version 04.09.06.00.01, August 15, 2009

Feature:

Retirement Activity Report

Issue #:

3379

Change:

Three columns added to the report.  ’Adj’ was added to the History, Current, and Summary sections of the report.

An ’*’ on an adjustment row indicates an adjustment that was not reported to DRS through the WESPaC transmittal process.

An ’*’ on a total row indicates that the total includes an adjustment that was not reported to DRS.

In the Summary section (right most column), and ’*’ in the Adj column indicates an adjustment exists in the Current section not being reported to DRS.

Reason:

Retirement adjustments can be indicated to be reported to DRS or not to be reported to DRS.  This ’*’ indicates to the client if the adjustment transaction was or was not reported.

Remedy Ticket:

65069

A check box for Voids was added to the Retirement Activity Report parameters screen for Transaction Types. The default for Voids and the other Transaction Types of Contracts,Pay Items, and Adjustments is to be checked and included in the report process.

Reason:
