Change:	Corrected an issue that inadvertently changed the Option Code and Investment Manager when Choice Code 3D was highlighted in the Choice Code dropdown list.
Reason:	When Choice Code 3D was highlighted using the down arrow keys, the Option Code would automatically change to A and the Investment Manager would change to Self, even when a different Choice Code was saved on the record.

Change:	Corrected an issue that allowed an invalid Plan Code and Choice Code combination of Plan 1 or 2 with Choice Code 3D. Created an error message to stating that the Plan and Choice Codes selected are not a valid combination.
Reason:	If Choice Code 3D was inadvertently selected and the Plan was 1 or 2, the system would change the Plan to 3 and save the record.

Reason:	The Department of Retirement Systems requires only one Plan Choice record per member. When multiple Member Profile records exist with Choice Dates, only one Plan Choice record is included in the transmittal file, but the summary includes both records in the count. This causes the transmittal file to be out of balance.

Previously, retirement member profiles for PERS Plan 0, 2, and 3 could be created and transmitted which resulted in DRS rejection. PERS Plan 1 is the only valid PERS profile for school districts.

Change:	Per DRS correspondence, Email 11-018, the Retirement Member Profile screen was modified to default the required Option Code of ”r;A” and the required Investment Manager of ”r;SELF” when the Choice Code of 3D is selected and no previously saved values exist for these fields. Previously, a valid Investment Manager selection was required with a Choice Code of 3D, but it could be either WSIB or SELF. Also, there was no default for the Option Code, nor was it required. However, a 3D record that does not have an Option Code of A and an Investment Manager of SELF will be rejected by DRS as of July 22, 2011.

Previous modifications to the Retirement Member Profile screen forced the Investment Manager to SELF when the Choice Code is 3D which inadvertently prevented valid changes to existing retirement member profiles with an Investment Manager of WSIB.

Change:	The Retirement Adjustments screen was modified to allow clients to override the system, plan, and type on retirement adjustments along with several changes and\or enhancements to the Retirement Adjustments browse. The following is a summary of the modifications: Retirement Adjustments browse &endash; Added a secondary sort by Pay Code and a third sort by Earning Period. Retirement Adjustments browse - The following fields are displayed in the browse: System, Plan, Type, Earning Period, Status, Pay Code, Inc Calc, Don’t Report, Compensation, Employee Contribution, Employer Contribution, Hours, Days, Report Period, Ovr Sys Plan. Export browse data to Excel - The following fields are exported to Excel: System, Plan, Type, Earning Period, Status, Pay Code, Inc Calc, Don’t Report, Compensation, Employee Contribution, Employer Contribution, Hours, Days, Report Period, Ovr Sys Plan. Retirement Adjustments browse &endash; Retirement adjustments that have already been processed through the Payroll cycle cannot be deleted. If a client attempts to delete an adjustment that has already been processed, the following message will display: Delete is not allowed because the adjustment has been processed through Payroll. Retirement Adjustments browse &endash; Pay Code is displayed from wa001rettransactions.hpadcp-pay-code, which is assigned from the chosen pay code when an adjustment is added. The edit screen will display ”r;Unknown” in the Pay Code field if the associated pay record has been deleted. The edit screen Pay Code is associated with the pay record’s hpaprm-pay-rec-master.hpaprm-pay-rec-id because there can be more than one pay code of the same name. Retirement Adjustments screen &endash; Modified the screen to allow clients to override the retirement system, plan and type to which the adjustment should be applied. If the override is not used, the payroll calculate process will assign the system, plan and type that was in effect for the adjustment’s earning period. Retirement Adjustments screen &endash; WA001RetTransactions.DoNotReport, a new field, was added to store the logical value for ”r;Do Not Report to DRS”, replacing the current generic field, WA001RetTransactions.MiscLogical. Retirement Adjustments screen &endash; A data manipulation will be performed to move the ”r;Do Not Report to DRS” logical from the WA001RetTransactions.MiscLogical field to the new WA001RetTransactions.DoNotReport field.

Feature:	WESPaC Employee Profile Retirement Tab (Retirement Member Profile)
Change:	The Retirement Member Profile browse was modified to sort by Eligibility Start Date descending, then by Eligibility End Date descending so that those with a blank End Date will appear first if there is more than one Start Date for the same system\plan\type. The new sort only occurs on initial entry of the retirement screen. A later release will remove the box for search of system to allow the screen to sort properly when viewing other employees while still on the screen.

Change:	The Retirement Member Profile screen was modified to allow the client the ability to delete membership records if there are no retirement transactions associated with the system and plan for the eligibility period.
Reason:	The system was not allowing clients to delete membership records although there were no transactions associated.

Change:	When an employee has a retirement profile the system will set a flag (not viewable on the screen) to "yes" on the employee’s profile record. Previously this flag was not being set.
Reason:	On the Employee Profile record is a flag that indicates if the person has a retirement profile. This flag was not being set to the proper yes or no setting. Because the flag was not being set to "yes" properly, a default retirement deduction or benefit was not being copied into the employee’s deduction and benefit control screen.

Remedy Ticket:	74640
Change:	The program logic for deleting a Retirement Member Profile record has been modified. A Retirement Member Profile cannot be deleted when transactions matching the retirement system and plan are found in the WA001RetTransactions table. If transactions exist, then the delete cannot happen and this message will be displayed: Retirement Member Profile cannot be deleted. Transactions exist for this retirement system and plan. If transactions do not exist, then the delete can happen. The Retirement Eligibility End date should be used to end profiles that are no longer active.
Reason:	The original design allowed the Retirement Member Profile to be deleted as long as there were no pending transactions for transmission to the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS). The Retirement Activity Report requires a Retirement Member Profile to exist in order for retirement transactions to be reported. Errors occurred in the report processing when a Retirement Member Profile was deleted and transactions existed.
