Allocate Pool Remainder

In Washington, some bargaining units are required to distribute benefits as fully as possible to participants of the benefit pool. Unused employer benefits after the first pass of the calculation of deductions and benefits are redistributed to employees who exhausted their benefits and have deductions. The unused benefits are redistributed equally again and again until the employer benefits are maximized across employees.

 

A setup procedure in System Administration is needed before a pool remainder may be allocated. Setup requires Systems Administrator access.

 

Allocate the Pool Remainder:

  1. Click HUMAN RESOURCES.

  2. Click INS TRACK.

  3. Click Pool Maintenance at the upper left of the Insurance Tracking screen.

  4. Click +ADD to create a new Pool Code or EDIT to create a new one.

  5. Check Redistribute Unused Employer Benefits, if you wish to distribute unused employee benefits to employees of the pool who are using more than their individual initial amount.

  6. Click OK to save your selections or CANCEL to exit.
