Use this quick and easy process to cancel or void a printed check. It avoids the manual correction process used in the legacy WSIPC application.
When a check is voided, the process finds appropriate transactions and reverses related balances to where they were before the check was written. It also locates and reverses related transactions in the Retirement Transaction table. This report is only available district wide, by a user with district access.
There are five steps to the Quick Void Check Process:

Select: Select the check or checks to be voided.
Click HUMAN RESOURCES.
Click PAYROLL.
Click QUICK VOID.
Click SELECT.
Select a payroll from the Payrolls Available for Quick Void display.
Click SELECT, which opens the Checks Available for Selected Payroll screen:
Select one or more checks from the Available Checks display.
Click ADD or ADD ALL to move checks into the Selected Checks display. (Click REMOVE or REM. ALL to remove selected checks.)
Click CLOSE when finished.

Process: Process voided checks.
Click PROCESS.
Click OK to process the selected checks:
Processing Parameters:
Create NACHA File: Answer Yes or No.
Override Posting Date: Answer Yes or No.
Override Posting Date: Enter a date if Yes was selected.
Click OK to accept parameters.
The message "Quick Void Processing Completed Successfully" appears when the process is finished.

Post Verify: Select from a variety of post-calculation verification reports.
Check one of the following reports:
Check Summary (Gross and Net Amounts)
Check Summary (Net Amounts Only)
Employees Not Being Paid (Missing from Payroll, with option to print Social Security number on report)
Omitted Deductions/Benefits
Labor/Benefit Distribution Report
Summary Totals for Pay/Deduction/Benefit Codes
Account Breakdown for Deduction/Benefit Codes (with option to print Social Security number on report)
Direct Deposit Report (Lists Non-Ach Deposits)
Check Verification Register (Showing pay detail, deduction/benefit totals)
Run Individual Reports for Pay/Deduction/Benefit Totals
Click CLOSE after making your selection.
Select from additional parameters and print options and create the eport.

Check Register: Verify voided checks in the check register.
Click OK to accept Payroll Calculation Parameters for Payroll Run Number.
Click RUN to run the check register and necessary reports.
The Output Destination screen opens.
Select an Output and Printer from the listed options.
Click OK to create the reports.
The Reports Processed in Check Register display shows which programs have been updated, with the start and end times.

Update: Update salaries, benefits, and deductions to your budgetary and payroll files.
Click RUN to process the payroll update.
The Updates Processed display shows which programs have been updated, with the start and end times.
The message "Payroll update is complete" appears when the process is finished.
