4 Selection Criteria

The following criteria are used by the program in this process:

  1. Criteria for Copy Processing: Workers' Compensation rates will only be copied when assignments are being copied from a Salary Negotiations Plan to another Salary Negotiations Plan. Benefits are not stored with plans, so Workers' Compensation rates are not needed when copying to an Employee Management plan, and not available when copying from an Employee Management plan.

  2. Confirmation Dialog:  If the criteria for the copy process are met, a Confirmation Dialog box is displayed to the user, giving them the option of bypassing the copy: "Do you wish to copy Workers' Compensation rates along with these assignments?" If the user selects "No" on the dialog, no further processing is done. Otherwise, processing continues to the next step, Copy Processing.

  1. Copy Processing:  All records are retrieved from the Workers' Compensation Rates (WA001WorkersCompRates) table for the plan to copy from. For each copy from record,

    1. a check is made to determine if a record exists in the Workers' Compensation Rates table for the plan to copy to,

    2. with a matching WC Code,

    3. with a Rate Effective Date (WCRateEffectiveDate).

If the copy to record is found, the rates on this record are updated with the rates from the copy from record. If the copy to record is not found, a new record is created. This record is a duplicate of the copy from record.
