This option allows you to move individuals or groups of students from one program to another. This process is helpful when moving students from an elementary school to a middle school or middle/junior high to senior high. It is recommended to run current class lists before running this process.

Starting from the Student Management main screen:
Click STU SERV.
Click Special Ed.
Click UTILITIES.
Select Mass Placement Update button.
The Current Placement area will list the programs and/or services from the current, next or all school year(s), depending on user choice.
The New Placement area will list the programs and/or services that will be moved to, for the current, next or all school year(s), depending on user choice.
Click ADD. Highlight the current program and/or service the students you want to move are placed in (on the left) and the program and/or service you want to move them to (on the right).
Highlight the correct selections on both sides and click OK. Multiple selections can be made. You will be prompted to enter a Placement Begin Date for each record added to the Programs/Services Selected to Update browse.
Click Run. This will take you to the Placement Begin Date screen. Enter a date for each selected "to" Program. Date must be within begin and end dates of placement.
When you have completed entering date, click OK. This will take you to the District Service Report screen where criteria for selecting which students’ placements will be changed can be made. Range Criteria includes Grade/Grad Yr., District, Default Entity, IEP Manager Key, Case Manager Key, Student Key, Disability, and LRE range.
Individual students can be selected using the Student Button. Individual Student selection will override the following ranges if entered: Grade/Grad Yr., District, Default Entity, IEP Manager Key, Case Manager Key, Student Key, Disability, and LRE range.
When you have completed making your selections, click Print. This will take you to the District Service Report screen where a report can be printed for you to examine names prior to processing the data.
Note: It is strongly recommended that you print and review this report before proceeding.
Once the report has printed you will be asked if you want to process the data.
Answer YES to update students’ placement records. Answer NO, to cancel the update process.
Run class lists to verify the information.
