The Labels option allows you to print address labels for mailing.
Click on the Labels - LA option to highlight it and then click the Run button. A Current Selection Parameters screen opens.
Details on how to use the Current Selection Parameters screen can be found in the Selection Parameters Screen User Guide.
Change the parameters, as necessary, and click the OK button. The Misc. Label Options screen opens.
If you wish to include terminated employees in the labels, check the Include terminated employees check box.
In the Additional Line Options select the desired option by clicking the applicable radio button. The options are:
Include phone numbers and employee keys
Include employee’s building
Include nothing - The default selection. No additional lines will be printed on the label.
In the Include Reference Type area of the screen, click the appropriate radio button to select:
Employees,
References, or
Both.
Click the OK button. The Label Printing Options screen opens.
The Labels Available area of the screen allows you to select, add, edit, delete, or clone saved label formats.
In the View Labels area of the screen, click the appropriate radio button to display a list of label formats in the Rpt Description table. The options are:
All
User
Skyward.
Click on the format you wish to use in the Rpt Description table of the Label Printing Options screen.
The parameters for the selected label format are displayed in the Label Overrides and Label Default settings areas of the screen.
In the Label Overrides area of the screen, you can modify the:
Number of Labels Across the sheet
Number of the Start With Label
Number of positions to indent
Label Sort Order, which you select from the drop down list.
NOTE: You can reset the changes to their default values by clicking the Reset button.
Click the Select Button. The Print Labels screen opens.
The screen displays a list of the employees (and/or references) that corresponds to the selection parameters you selected.
In the Select label to begin printing with table, click on the name/address of the employee whose label will be the first printed. That employee’s label information is displayed in the Begin printing with this label text box.
NOTE: Labels will not print for any employees whose names/addresses are displayed above the selected employee in the list.
Select the Number of labels per person.
Click the Print button. The Output Destination screen opens. The Orientation, Lines Per Inch, and Carriage options are desensitized.
Details on how to use the Output Destination screen can be found in the Print Setup User Guide.
Select the desired print parameters and click the OK button to print the labels.
Click the Add button on the Label Printing Options screen. A Question screen opens recommending that you use an existing format and asking if you wish to continue.
Click the Yes button. The New Label Setup screen opens.
Enter a Label Name of up to 30 characters.
If you want others to be able to use the format, check the Allow Others To Use check box.
If you want others to be able to update the format, check the Allow Others To Update check box.
In the Margins area of the screen, set the Top and Side margins using the Up and Down arrows, respectively, to increment or decrement the values.
NOTE: The Top margin value is numbers of lines, the Side margin value is character spaces.
In the Label Dimensions area of the screen, set the Height and Width of the labels using the Up and Down arrows, respectively, to increment or decrement the values.
NOTE: The Height value is numbers of lines, the Width value is character spaces.
In the Pitch area of the screen, set the Vertical and Horizontal spaces between the labels using the Up and Down arrows, respectively, to increment or decrement the values.
NOTE: The Vertical value is numbers of lines; the Horizontal value is character spaces.
In the Number of Labels area of the screen, set the Across and Down values using the Up and Down arrows, respectively, to increment or decrement the values.
NOTE: The Across and Down values are simply numbers.
In the Page Set-up area of the screen, select the number of Lines Per Inch from the drop down list.
Select the number of Char(acters) Per Inch from the drop down list.
Select the label printer feed from the drop down list associated with the Label Type field.
Select the print Orientation from the drop down list.
Click the Save button to save the format and return to the Label Printing Options screen. The new label format is displayed in the Rpt Description table.
Click on the label format you wish to edit in the Rpt Description table on the Label Printing Options screen to highlight it and click the Edit button. The New Label Setup screen opens.

Make the changes and click the Save button to save the modified format and return to the Label Printing Options screen.
Click on the label format you wish to delete in the Rpt Description table on the Label Printing Options screen to highlight it and click the Delete button. A Question screen opens asking if you are sure you want to delete the format.
Click the Yes button to delete the label format.
You can create a new format by copying an existing format and modifying it using the Clone option.
Click on the label format you wish to copy in the Rpt Description table on the Label Printing Options screen to highlight it and click the Clone button.
The New Label Setup screen opens.

You can preview a label format using the Test Label option.
Click on the label format you wish to copy in the Rpt Description table on the Label Printing Options screen to highlight it and click the Test Label button. The Output Destination screen opens. The Orientation, Lines Per Inch, and Carriage options are desensitized.

Click the OK button to print the label preview which depicts the way the labels will be arranged on the page.
