2 Importing the SSID File from OSPI & Updating the State Student Identifier

Files with SSIDs are available for school districts on OSPI’s CSRS Web site. The file extension is ".txt". The first data element in each record is the SSID. The remaining data elements are CCDDD, Student ID, Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Birth Date, and Gender.

In order for the WESPaC system to recognize files with SSIDs, the OSPI files must first be copied to the desktop. The SSID import process then provides the ability to select the appropriate file to be used when updating the SSID field (Student.MN-Ede-Nbr). A student’s SSID can subsequently be seen on the WA/NCLB screen as the "State SSID Number".
