You can only edit the Setup and Original Budget for an account number.

Edit Setup

  1. On the Account master information screen, highlight the Account number to change.

HINT: Use the Lookup to find the account more quickly.

  1. Click the 6 Setup tab.

  2. Click the Edit button. The Account Update screen opens.

  3. Change the information as necessary.

  1. Click the OK button to save your changes and return to the Account Master Information screen.

Edit Budget

You can maintain budget dollars assigned to an account number.

!!  WARNING  !!: Use this function carefully, this changes the Original Budget. It does not create a Revised Budget entry. It is recommended if you need to change a budget where an original budget already exists, make the changes via the Budget Management option in Account Management.

  1. On the Account Master Information screen, highlight the Account number to change.

HINT: Use the Lookup to find the account more quickly.

  1. Click the 8 Bud’s tab.

  2. From the Budget Information list, highlight the fiscal year to which you want to enter or change original budget information.

  3. Click the Detail Budget Entry button. The Detail Budgets screen opens.

If you have highlighted the current year row, the Current Year Original Budget screen opens indicating you are about to change the Current Year Original Budget.

  1. Click the Yes button to continue. The Budget Detail Maintenance screen opens.

      1. Enter the Item Description.

  1. Enter the Amount.

  2. To remain on the same account, click the Create button.

This allows you to enter more dollars for different reasons. On your last addition, instead of clicking the Create button, click the OK button to return to the Detail Budgets screen.

    1. From the Detail Budget Items list, highlight the Line Nbr to change.

    2. Click the Edit button. The Budget Detail Maintenance screen opens.

    3. Change the Item Description or Amount as necessary.

  1. From the Detail Budget Items list, highlight the Line Nbr to delete.

  2. Click the Delete button.

The Delete Confirmation screen opens asking if you want to delete the budget detail item.

  1. Click the Yes button.

Move buttons

The Move icons are used to arrange the detail items on the screen. This function is not used anywhere in the software functionally. It could be used for priority.

For example, if you use departmental budgeting and the budget goes through various levels of approval or review, you could use this to arrange the important items towards the top.

It could be used to arrange them by amount so that the highest values would be at the top.

For example, this might be used for faster review. If you have the larger values at the top it would be faster to review a long list of accounts.

If a large dollar value was hidden down on the list somewhere it would take longer to find out where all the dollars were coming from.

  1. Click the Close button to return to the Account Master Information screen.

  2. The Original Budget is changed.
