1 Introduction | Adding Requisitions | Editing Requisitions | Deleting an Entire Requisition

When you receive a request to purchase an item, you can enter the information on a requisition. Using requisitions allows you to enter information for orders that will be placed with a vendor. The requisition is changed to a purchase order in a few simple steps. You can initially enter all the information necessary for a PO, or enter a minimum of data and add details just before creating the PO.

Throughout the requisition process you see prompts and fields that refer to purchase orders. Since the program assumes you eventually want to create a purchase order from the requisition, you enter the information as though this were a purchase order.

Although requisitions do not encumber funds, the system can be set so that a budget capacity check can be run when entering a requisition. See WESPaC Financial Management Purchase Order Configuration User’s Guide for more information.

For information on the functions available on the Requisition Entry screen such as Options, see the WESPaC Financial Management - Requisition & Purchasing Misc Functions User’s Guide.
