The Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) requires employers to use specific status and type codes on transmittals of retirement data. DRS currently defines seven status codes for each retirement system and retirement plan, each with a different purpose, and each with different requirements for the types of data they may contain.
This table may be used for validating codes when updating other detail and master files. This will eliminate the need for large development efforts when codes are added to the retirement systems. Codes may also be viewed or reported in a printable report.
Warning: WSIPC will maintain these tables, but a district may grant security access for maintenance. Access should be limited to one or two users per district. Contact your data center before making ANY updates to the Retirement tables. Updating these tables could result in incorrect data being transmitted to DRS and incorrect calculations of deductions, benefits and the remittance to DRS. |
