Description
|
CERT (Certificate)
|
The employee’s certificate number is assigned by OSPI.
-
Only one certificate in the Employee Profile Master, Certifications display should be coded with the OSPI certification type code. If an employee has more than one certificate, only one should be assigned the Cert Type with Description of OSPI Certificate Number and St. Code of OSPI on the Employee Profile Master Credits tab in the Certifications display. If an employee has a basic education certificate number and a vocational education certificate number, then whichever certification the job requires should be designated with the Cert Type of OSPI Certificate Number and St. Code of OSPI.
-
The Current Certification field is not used for determining whether a certificate is an OSPI certificate. The factor that designates a certification record as an OSPI certificate is the presence of the Cert Type with Description of OSPI Certificate Number and St. Code of OSPI.
-
Valid Issue Date and Expiration Date combinations are also required to avoid the "No OSPI Certificate Found" message.
Possible valid date combinations are:
-
Expiration date >= "today" and Issue date <= "today"
-
Expiration date blank and Issue date <= "today"
-
Expiration date >= "today" and Issue date is blank
-
Expiration date blank and Issue date blank
All other date entry combinations will produce the “No OSPI Certificate number found” warning.
|
DEG (Degree)
|
-
The highest degree code/degree level is used to determine placement on the Factor (LEAP) table and on the salary schedule. More than one Degree may be in the Employee Profile Master, Degrees display.
-
The highest degree is determined as of the date entered in Calculate Credits and Degrees Through date on the Mix Factor Report Parameters screen. The report process uses a lowest to highest hierarchy (Blank, "S", "V", "B", "H", "G", "M", "D") when determining the highest degree.
-
If a person has a bachelor’s degree and a vocational degree, then the degree that should be reported needs a valid state code of "B" or "V". The degree that should not be reported can have a blank state code or an invalid state code. The State Code is with the Degree Code in the Degree Codes screen.
-
The Calculate Credits and Degrees Through date on the Mix Factor Report Parameters screen is compared to the Received Date on the Human Resources: Degrees Add Edit screen. The Received Date must be less than or equal to the calculate through date for the degree record to be in the report process.
-
If a person has more than one degree with the same valid state code, then the degree with the earlier date is used in the report process.
-
A degree will not be in the report process if the Approve Date on the Degrees Add Edit screen is blank.
|
CREDS (Credits)
|
-
Combined credits are calculated based on the date entered in the Calculate Credits and Degrees Through date on the Mix Factor Report Parameters screen.
-
The Calculate Credits and Degrees Through date on the Mix Factor Report Parameters screen is compared to the Earned Date on the Credits Add Edit screen. The Earned Date must be less than or equal to the calculate through date for the credit record to be in the report process.
-
If the highest degree is a master’s, then combined credits equal the sum of academic, in-service, non-degree, and excess credits.
-
If the highest degree is not a master’s, then combined credits equal the sum of academic, in-service, and non-degree credits.
|

|
ST-EXP-OUT (State Experience Out)
