A transmittal file is not created if S-275 edit data errors exist. Check the "Print Warnings" option to create an edit journal that lists both error and warning messages (Error messages are always printed). You must correct the errors before the transmittal file is created. Warning edits do not have to be corrected.

Non-assignment related messages print first for unnumbered messages, followed by the numbered messages sorted by message number.

Assignment related messages follow the non-assignment messages and are sorted by message number.

If a program, activity, or duty code is not found by the S-275 reporting process, then the edit journal will display this message: "Error – Incomplete Assignment Code." This will probably never happen.

The edit journal lists employees by name key and name.
