  1. Edit the File Definition Master record for each WASL and ITBS/ITED 2004 test edition to verify your district specific import file name. Either double-click the desired File ID, or select it and click EDIT.

  2. The test score import files are placed in the following directory: Default imp/export path\Entity\000. The Default imp/export path is defined in your Dist Config setup program. Check with your ASP Coordinator if you do not know the name of your Default Import/Export path.

  3. The file names are in the format ccdddTTTTggYYYY.DAT, where:

    1. Ccddd = district number

    2. TTTT = test type (WASL or ITBS)

    3. Gg = grade level

    4. Yyyy = Year in which tests were taken

  4. If for any reason the File Name for the current File ID does not match the above, you must define the import file name.

    1. Click FILE NAME.

    2. Navigate (browse) to the test score directory, or type the full directory name.

    3. In the Files of Type menu, select Data Files(*.dat).

    4. All current test score files will appear (both ITBS/ITED and WASL). Select the appropriate file for the current Test ID, and click OPEN

  5. The Start Import at Row value should be 1, and the File Type should be Fixed Width.

  6. Click OK to save your changes.
