1 Overview

RCW 28A.305.220 authorized the State Board of Education to develop a standardized high school transcript for use in the public school districts of the state of Washington. Chapter 392-415  WAC defines the form and accepted contents of the report. The report is to be used by all public high schools in the state as the method to communicate the courses, credits, and grading marks accumulated by students in their high school career, as well as a student's status with regard to additional state graduation requirements.

The report may be generated for individual students, or for multiple students by range criteria. A count of the total students processed, as well as the selection and sort options chosen, are displayed in a summary report.

If the Use Automatic Calculation of GPA flag = Yes (ENTITY-YEAR.USE-AUTO-GPA-CALC = "Y") for the entity in which a standardized transcript is being run, then each time the report is generated, the GPA Calculation process is run automatically. As a result, the student's data used in determining credits and GPA is up-to-date.
