The Academic Record section of the standardized transcript is comprised of information about all courses for which a student has an appropriate grade mark with grade level 9, 10, 11, or 12. Courses are grouped by report period (a unique combination of month/year and grade level). The following information is printed for each course:
Month/Year: See Section 9, Body – Month/Year.
Grade Level: The process first determines whether the Student Class record is historical or current.
Historical Records: If student-class.schd-record-type = "H", the record is historical. Grade level is from student-class.schd-hst-ecp.
Current Records: If student-class.schd-record-type "H", the record is current. Use the grade level that was calculated during the process of selecting records (see Section 8, Body – Grade Level and Grade Mark).
Code: The alphakey of the course (course.cor-alphakey).
Description: The course description; a maximum of 20 characters is printed (student-class.unused-char-1 is printed; if it is blank, course.cor-sdesc is printed).
Letter Grade: A line is printed on the standardized transcript for each grade mark identified in the selection process (see Section 4). Final grades are from student-class.grd-fnl-mrk. Semester grades are from student-class.grd-sem-mrk. Term grades are from student-class.grd-trm-mrk.
Credits Earned: A numeric value is printed for credits earned, unless
The grade mark = "W", then dashes (----) are printed and 0.00 is used in all calculations.
The grade mark = "E" or "F", then 0.00 is printed and 0.00 is used in all calculations.
In all other cases, the credits earned value is printed unless that value is divided (see Section 11, Body – Dividing Credits).
If the value determined for credits earned is zero, 0.00 is printed; dashes are not printed.
Credits Attempted: A numeric value is printed for credits attempted, unless the grade mark = "W", then dashes (----) are printed and 0.00 is used in all calculations.
In all other cases, the credits attempted value is printed unless that value is divided (see Section 11, Body – Dividing Credits).
Course Designation: If the student’s Washington graduation year (STUDENT.WA-GRAD-YR) is 2005 or earlier, the "r;Crs Dsg" column heading is not printed and no course designation codes are printed for a course. If the student’s Washington graduation year (STUDENT.WA-GRAD-YR) is 2006 or later, the column heading is printed and up to six course designation codes are printed for a course. If there are multiple course designation codes for a course, they are printed in alphabetical order.
Based on the course month/year, the process finds the Course record for the school year (course.school-year).
"r;I" is printed if
COURSE.WA-INTERNATL-BACCAL = "r;Y", OR
There is a code in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APCode with a related type value in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APType and with a related WA001SysAPCourse.SysAPArea that begins with "r;IBGroup" (course.wa-adv-placement-code blank; find the related code in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APCode; for WA001AdvancedPlacement.APCode, find WA001AdvancedPlacement.APType; if the value in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APType blank, find the related value in WA001SysAPCourse.SysAPType; find WA001SysAPCourse.SysAPArea that begins with "r;IBGroup").
"r;C" is printed if COURSE.WA-COLLEGE-HS = "r;Y".
"r;T" is printed if
COURSE.WA-TECH-PREP = "r;Y", OR
COURSE.WA-ARTICULATED-TECH-PREP = "r;Y"
"r;H" is printed if COURSE.WA-HONORS-OPTION = "r;Y".
"r;A" is printed if there is a code in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APCode with a related type value in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APType and with a related WA001SysAPCourse.SysAPArea that does not begin with "r;IBGroup" (course.wa-adv-placement-code blank; find the related code in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APCode; for WA001AdvancedPlacement.APCode, find WA001AdvancedPlacement.APType; if the value in WA001AdvancedPlacement.APType blank, find the related value in WA001SysAPCourse.SysAPType; find WA001SysAPCourse.SysAPArea that does not begin with "r;IBGroup").
"r;R" is printed if COURSE.WA-RUNNING-START = "r;Y".
"r;B" is printed if COURSE.WA-HECB-CORE-COURSE = "r;Y".
If the honors option is identified at the student level (student-class.WA-honors-option = "Y"), "H" is printed.
Records in the Academic History section are grouped by report period which is a unique combination of month/year and grade level. Records are sorted by grade level within month/year. They are printed in ascending order, starting with the lowest grade level within the earliest month/year. A line is printed for each report period:
MO/YR: MM/YYYY GRD LVL ##
Within each report period, records are sorted by course code (alphabetically in ascending order).
